Soul Explosion by The Daktaris (2000)
The precursor to Antibalas Afrobeat Orchestra, the Daktaris definitely have the Afro-funk thing down! The album bounces along nicely and one song blends nearly seemlessly into the next making it hard for me to easily choose a favorite. An album eaqually suited for a fun weekend picnic in the park or to help you get going in the morning.
